Downtowner @anguk is conceived as a space where contemporary program is layered onto a traditional hanok structure, allowing different times and cultures to coexist.

The original spatial framework is retained, while new elements are introduced to create moments of contrast within the existing order. The timber structure and intimate scale of the hanok remain visible, while contemporary materials and configurations establish a subtle tension within the space.

Rather than being clearly separated, these elements overlap within a continuous flow, forming a new spatial impression. Tradition and modernity, everyday life and consumption intersect, revealing a condition where multiple contexts exist simultaneously.
